Philippine 1974 Proof Set
Ang Bagong Lipunan (ABL) Series
Most Ang Bagong Lipunan proof sets contained eight coins, with the exception of the 1980 set, which included only seven coins.
Each set featured two higher-denomination commemorative coins: the 25 Piso and 50 Piso. Both were struck in silver, with the 25 Piso composed of 0.500 fine silver and the 50 Piso composed of 0.925 fine silver.
The 1980 proof set did not include the 50 Piso coin, which accounts for the reduced number of coins in that year’s set.
All lower-denomination coins included in the sets were struck in non-silver base metals.

Issued to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the University of the Philippines, the Flora and Fauna proof set is generally considered the rarest Philippine proof set due to its extremely low mintage.
